This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses ReFrame. It exists to keep the service safe and lawful for everyone. This policy is part of the Terms of Service. Violations can result in account suspension or termination, removal of content, and where appropriate, legal action and reporting to authorities.

Prohibited Content

You may not upload, generate, or distribute through ReFrame:

  • Content that is illegal under United States federal or Illinois state law, or under the law of any jurisdiction where you are accessing the service.
  • Content you do not own or do not have explicit permission to use, including copyrighted material, trademarked material, and content licensed to someone else. If you cannot demonstrate the chain of rights, do not upload it.
  • Hate speech, content that targets individuals or groups based on protected characteristics, harassment, threats, and content that incites or promotes violence.
  • Sexually explicit content involving minors. We have a zero tolerance policy. Detected content of this kind results in immediate account termination, preservation of relevant records, and a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, including content created or modified to depict a real person in a sexual context without that person’s consent.
  • Content that infringes on a third party’s right of publicity, right of privacy, or similar rights, including unauthorized use of a real person’s likeness, voice, or identifiable attributes.
  • Content that impersonates another person or entity in a way intended to deceive, defraud, or cause harm.
  • Malware, viruses, exploits, or content designed to harm or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.

Prohibited Behavior

You may not:

  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, authentication, or other technical controls.
  • Use the service to abuse infrastructure, including denial-of-service attempts, excessive automated requests, or actions intended to degrade performance for other users.
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service through automated means without our written permission, or resell outputs of the service without our written permission.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service, except where applicable law permits otherwise.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without prior written authorization. If you believe you have found a security issue, report it to legal@otthstudios.com.
  • Use the service to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) or to impersonate ReFrame or OTTH Studios staff.
  • Resell, sublicense, or transfer your account to another person without our written permission.

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of content or behavior on ReFrame that violates this policy, report it to legal@otthstudios.com. Include enough detail (URLs, screenshots, account references where possible) for us to investigate.

Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in any combination of the following, at our discretion: removal of the offending content, suspension of your account, termination of your account, refusal of future service, preservation and disclosure of relevant records to law enforcement when required by law, and civil or criminal legal action. We aim to give notice when practical, but we may act immediately for severe violations or where notice would risk further harm.
